PDF Splitter is a free online tool that divides a PDF document into individual pages or custom page ranges. Upload your PDF and specify how to split it — extract a single page, define custom ranges, split by every N pages, or extract all pages as separate files — and download the resulting PDFs.

Splitting a PDF is the counterpart to merging. Common use cases include extracting a specific chapter from a long report, separating a merged bank statement into individual monthly statements, isolating a signed page from a multi-page contract, extracting high-resolution images saved as PDF pages, or breaking a large PDF into smaller parts to work around email attachment size limits.

PDF splitting is a lossless operation. Each extracted page or range retains its full original quality — images, fonts, vector graphics, and all page content are preserved exactly as in the source file. There is no re-compression or quality loss during splitting.

Custom range splitting lets you define any combination of page ranges: extract pages 1–5, then 10–12, then 20 separately. This is useful when a PDF contains multiple distinct documents that were merged together and need to be separated back into their individual components. The page range notation follows the convention used in print dialogs: comma-separated ranges like "1-5, 8, 10-12".
