About Rotate PDF
PDF Rotator is a free online tool that rotates pages in a PDF document. Upload your PDF and rotate all pages or select specific pages — 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise, or 180° — to fix incorrectly oriented documents and save the corrected PDF.
Incorrectly oriented PDF pages are a common problem. Scanning a document in the wrong orientation, converting a landscape presentation to PDF, receiving a contract with some pages sideways, or merging PDFs created with different orientations all produce PDFs where some or all pages are rotated. Reading a sideways or upside-down PDF is frustrating, and printing it wastes paper. The PDF Rotator fixes the orientation permanently in the saved file.
PDF rotation works by modifying the page rotation metadata in the PDF file — a lossless operation that does not alter the page content, image quality, or text. The PDF specification supports page rotations in 90° increments (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°). Rotating by 90° clockwise and then 90° counter-clockwise returns the page to its original orientation.
For multi-page PDFs with mixed orientations (some portrait, some landscape), the tool allows per-page rotation control. Identify the pages that need correction and rotate only those, leaving correctly oriented pages unchanged.
