The story behind AiCanCode
Hi, I am Akshay Sonalkar — a backend engineer who has always believed that teaching and building go hand in hand. Over the years, I found myself constantly explaining the same concepts to colleagues, friends preparing for interviews, and juniors starting their careers — Java internals, system design patterns, DSA problem approaches, Spring Boot architecture.
Every single time, the pattern was the same: a great explanation, a live code example, or a well-designed visual made a concept click instantly. What took weeks of confusion dissolved in minutes. That experience stuck with me.
I built AiCanCode to be that experience at scale — a place where a developer can go from "I have heard of this" to "I actually understand how it works" without bouncing between ten different sites, videos, and scattered documentation.
