About PDF to JPG
PDF to JPG Converter is a free online tool that converts each page of a PDF document into a high-quality JPG image. Upload your PDF and the tool renders every page as a separate JPG file — downloadable individually or as a ZIP archive.
Converting PDF pages to images has many practical applications. Extracting a product image or diagram from a PDF brochure for use on a website. Converting PDF presentation slides to JPG for use in a PowerPoint or Google Slides. Creating image thumbnails of PDF documents for preview. Sharing a specific PDF page on social media (which cannot display PDFs natively). Converting a scanned PDF of photographs back into individual image files.
PDF rendering to image involves rasterisation — converting the PDF's vector and text content into a grid of pixels. The output resolution (DPI) determines image quality. 72 DPI is suitable for screen viewing and web use (small file sizes). 150 DPI is a good balance for digital and light print use. 300 DPI produces print-quality images suitable for professional printing. Higher DPI means larger file sizes.
For PDFs containing high-resolution embedded photographs, the output JPG quality is limited by the original image quality in the PDF. Rasterising a 72 DPI PDF to a "300 DPI" JPG does not add detail — it only increases the pixel dimensions without improving sharpness. The tool works best when the source PDF was created from high-resolution content.

Frequently Asked Questions
72 DPI for web/screen use (smallest files). 150 DPI for digital presentations and light printing. 300 DPI for professional print quality. Higher DPI significantly increases file sizes.
Yes. After conversion, you can download individual page images. Or use the PDF Splitter to extract the specific page first, then convert the single-page PDF to JPG.
The output quality is limited by the source PDF's image resolution. A PDF created from low-resolution images (e.g. a scanned document at 72 DPI) will produce blurry JPGs regardless of the DPI setting. If the source is a text-based PDF, increasing DPI will produce sharper text.
PNG is better for PDFs containing text, diagrams, or illustrations because PNG is lossless and preserves sharp edges. JPG uses lossy compression and can introduce artefacts around text. If sharpness is critical, use PNG output if available.
