Guide for the Training & Placement Officer

Run drives with eligibility checked from verified records, verify offers, see readiness by department and batch, and nudge students who have gone quiet.

Signing in

  1. Open your invite email, set a password, and sign in with that address. Press "College dashboard".

Setting up

Like the principal, you can set the university and autonomous status, add staff (everyone except a principal), upload students and set up courses — the principal's guide has those steps.

  1. Import academic records once: open Student records, paste one line per student — identifier, CGPA, backlogs, 10th %, 12th % — and press "Import". An import counts as verified: it is your college's own record.
  2. Confirm students who joined without a college email or code: Student claims → "Confirm student", "Correct details" or "Reject" with a reason.

Companies

  1. Open Companies, press "Add company" and fill in name, sector, website and the HR contact.

Running a drive

  1. Open Placement drives and press "New drive": company, role, type, location, package and when applications close. Press "Create drive" — it is a draft, students see nothing yet.
  2. On the drive page press "Eligibility": branches (none selected means every branch), batches, minimum CGPA, backlogs allowed, and whether it is a dream drive or open to placed students. Press "Save eligibility".
  3. Press "Publish". Eligible students see it under Placement drives and can apply; ineligible students see why.
  4. In "Applications": "verify", "shortlist", and "record offer" (with the package). Add rounds under "Rounds" and record each student as cleared, rejected or absent.
  5. Press "Close applications" when the window ends.
  • If students applied on figures that had not been checked, the drive shows a banner listing them — nothing is withdrawn automatically; "remove from drive" is your call.

Offers and placed students

  1. Students report jobs they get. Open Offers & placed → "To verify", check the offer letter, then "Verify" or "Reject".
  2. Set the "Placement policy": "Open", "One offer", or "Dream offer" with its multiplier, then "Save multiplier".
  3. "Placed students" → "Download CSV" for NBA 4.6 / NAAC 5.2.1. "Record an offer" adds one the student didn't report.

Readiness and reminders

  1. "Placement readiness" on the dashboard shows each band and the top skill gaps; press "Assign" on a gap to give practice to the students who need it.
  2. "Send a reminder" → "Remind them" emails students who never started or have gone quiet, in your name. One send a week, so it keeps working.
  3. Placement assessments → "Create and publish" sets a 50-question baseline or final; students sit it at /quiz with the join code. "Results" shows scores; "Export CSV" downloads them.

Notices

  1. Open Notices.
  2. Write the title and "The notice", choose the branch and batch it is for (or all), tick "Pin" to keep it on top, and press "Post".
  3. Students see it on their My college page and get a notification. A notice for one course is posted from that course's page instead, under "Notices to this class".
