Guide for teachers
Your courses, start to finish: upload notes, take attendance in a minute, set and mark assignments, keep the internal marks sheet, and write COs — and see who has read what.
Signing in
- Open your invite email, set a password, and sign in with that address. Press "College dashboard".
- "My courses" is at the top: each course you teach, with "Take attendance", "Upload notes" and "Assignments" (it reads "Mark N" when work is waiting).
- No courses yet? Your HOD or principal adds courses and assigns teachers to them.
Uploading notes, links and written notes
- Open the course (or press "Upload notes").
- Choose "Upload a file", "Add a link" or "Write a note". Fill in "Unit" (e.g. Unit 1) so students see notes grouped by unit.
- Leave "Publish now and notify students" ticked to send it straight away, or untick it to save a draft. Press "Add".
- "Seen by N/M" on each item shows who has opened it — "Not yet" lists who hasn't.
- Files: PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, images or zip, up to 25 MB.
- Save notes as PDF so students can read them online as well as download them; Word and PowerPoint can only be downloaded.
- Put videos on YouTube or Drive and add them as a link.
Taking attendance
- Open the course → "Attendance" → "Take attendance" (or press "Take attendance" on your dashboard).
- Choose the date, the lecture number, the type (Lecture, Practical or Tutorial) and, optionally, the topic. The topic goes into the course file as "lectures delivered".
- Everyone starts present — tap the students who are absent, then press "Save attendance".
- "Students" shows each student's percentage against the 75% line (red below it). Students under the line are told automatically.
- Saved the wrong lecture? Take it again for the same date and lecture number — saving corrects it. "Lectures" lists every one, with "Edit".
Setting and marking assignments
- Open the course → "Assignments" → "Set assignment".
- Choose how students do it: "In the notebook" (they hand in their notebook; you tick who did), "Upload" (photos, a PDF or a document) or "Online answer" (typed on the page).
- Add the due date, maximum marks and, if you like, a question sheet. Press "Set assignment" — students are notified.
- To mark: open the assignment, enter marks and feedback, and press "Save (N)". Students who were marked are told. "Export" downloads the list.
Internal marks
- Open the course → "Internal marks". Add a column — "New column, e.g. Unit Test 1", "Out of", type — and press "Add column".
- Type marks, or AB for absent, then "Save" on that column.
- "Publish to students" shows the column to students. "Lock as final" makes it final — after that only the HOD or principal can unlock it.
- "Export for exam cell" downloads the sheet.
Course outcomes (COs) and attainment
- Open the course → "Outcomes". Write each CO with its Bloom's level and press "Add CO".
- Fill the CO–PO table (1 low, 2 medium, 3 high) and press "Save table".
- Under "What assesses each CO", tick the tests and assignments that test it. Attainment then works itself out from the marks.
- Near the end of the semester press "Open course-exit survey"; students rate each CO from 1 to 5, and that becomes the indirect part of attainment.
- "Export for course file" downloads the attainment sheet; the "Course file (PDF)" button on the course page gives the whole course file.
Notices to your class
- On the course page, under "Notices to this class", write a title and details, tick "Pin to the top" if needed, and press "Post notice".
Mentoring
- If you are a mentor, Mentoring → "My mentees" lists your students, with those who need attention first (attendance under 75%, a slow learner, or two or more assignments missing).
- Open a student to see their attendance, marks and missing work, and record each meeting: date, "What you discussed", "Agreed action", then "Record meeting".
